La Plata County Search & Rescue is a non-profit organization under the direction of the La Plata County Sheriff’s office. We are run by an elected board of officers and the county emergency services director. Since we are a non-profit, nearly all of our funding comes from grants, donations, and fund raising (primarily our annual pancake breakfast during the Snowdown festival).
